چکیده

Editor First described by Manstein and Anderson, fractional techniques have revolutionized the management of numerous dermatological conditions, leading to the development of fractional lasers and fractional radiofrequency devices. A retrospective study was carried out on consecutive patients treated with a non-insulated microneedle fractional radiofrequency (NIMFRF) device: Secret (Ilooda, 2 Korea). All patients paid for their treatments. Inclusion criterion was indication for thermal remodelling. Exclusion criteria were recent scars (<3 months), keloid, pregnancy or breast-feeding, refusal of a post-treatment assessment. Treatment parameters were as follows: energy 60% (6.82 Watt), depth set as a function of the dermal thickness (between 1 and 2.5 mm), pulse duration (ms): 100 times the depth (mm), needle penetration duration: twice the duration of the pulse. Anaesthetic cream (Anesderm; Pierre Fabre 3 , France) was applied before the session. Antiseptic treatment was performed just before the session. Patients were treated with 50% overlapping in two consecutive passes. Five passes were carried out on microrelief zones. Cicabio (Bioderma 4 , France) was applied immediately after the treatment and prescribed. No other treatment – especially antiviral or antibacterial – was prescribed. Tolerance was assessed using a 10-point pain score, measurement of the most frequent subsequent effects and screening for

Evaluation of the clinical efficacy of fractional radiofrequency microneedle treatment in acne scars and large facial pores.

BACKGROUND Fractional technology overcomes the problems of ablative lasers, such as inaccurate depth control and damage to the epidermis. Minimally invasive fractional radiofrequency microneedle devices allow for more-selective heating of the dermis. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the clinical efficacy of fractional radiofrequency microneedle (ERM) treatment in acne scars and large facial pores. MAT...

Comparison of a fractional bipolar radiofrequency device and a fractional Erbium:Glass 1550 nm device for the treatment of atrophic acne scars

Fractional Erbium:Glass 1550nm laser is a fractional photothemolysis (FP) laser with high effectiveness in atrophic acne scars treatment. Recently, fractional bipolar radiofrequency (RF) has been introduced to improve the efficacy and reduce side effects of the FP. Objective: The objective of the study was to compare the effectiveness and side effects of fractional bipolar radiofrequency with f...

Thermal Response of In Vivo Human Skin to Fractional Radiofrequency Microneedle Device

Background. Fractional radiofrequency microneedle system (FRMS) is a novel fractional skin resurfacing system. Data on thermal response to this fractional resurfacing technique is limited. Objectives. To investigate histologic response of in vivo human skin to varying energy settings and pulse stacking of a FRMS in dark-skinned subjects. Methods. Two female volunteers who were scheduled for abd...

Use of radiofrequency in cosmetic dermatology: focus on nonablative treatment of acne scars

Acne is a common affliction among many teens and some adults that usually resolves over time. However, the severe sequela of acne scarring can lead to long-term psychological and psychiatric problems. There exists a multitude of modalities to treat acne scars such as more invasive surgical techniques, subcision, chemical peels, ablative lasers, fractional lasers, etc. A more recent technique fo...

In vivo histological evaluation of non-insulated microneedle radiofrequency applicator with novel fractionated pulse mode.

INTRODUCTION Microneedle radiofrequency is a novel method that allows non-thermal penetration of the epidermis followed by RF coagulation in selected depth of the dermis surrounded by zone of non-coagulative volumetric heating. The first generation of Microneedle RF applicators used insulated needles. These treatments were limited by a few factors, including low volume of dermal heating, lack o...
